Mr. Plassmeyer began his career working for Convair, an aerospace company located in San Diego, responsible for building the rocket that put a man on the Moon in July 1969. He then altered course, working with a computer system’s design firm while at Arthur Anderson & Co. Afterwards, finding his way to R.R. Donnelly and Sons, a Fortune 500 Company offering him the title of “Manager of Computer System’s Development.”

Upon securing his CPA license in Illinois, Craig was promoted to Vice President of Internal Audits and Security for Walter E. Heller & Co., an International NYSE listed Commercial Financial Services company.

Due to his vast experiences and level of expertise, Craig was recruited to be one of the top 5 executives involved with the launch of Discover Card. After the consolidation between Discover Card and Dean Witter, a member of the Sears Financial Network, Craig moved to California and accepted the role of Senior Vice President of Internal Audits and Security for Glendale Federal Bank. The Bank represented $30B in Assets and had multiple branches throughout California, Washington state and Florida. While working for Glendale Federal Bank, Craig found his interest and passion for forensic accounting, leading him to a consulting career in fraud investigations and a role as independent trainer for LA FBI agents in banking, mortgage, and healthcare fraud investigations.

Craig received repeated praise and was voted the best Forensic CPA in southern California on 5 separate occasions by a group of his peers at Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He was eventually recruited by Ernst and Young as a Partner to setup their fraud investigation practice for its western US. clients, which included well known health insurance companies, major league sports teams, top universities, hospitals, nationwide trucking companies, and major hotel chains. After retiring from Ernst and Young, the City of Los Angeles recruited Craig to investigate the LA Fire Department.

In his last endeavor prior to complete retirement, Craig and his wife, an RN, MSN, who served as direct report to the CEO of Los Robles Regional Hospital in CA, started a home health nursing company which grew to over 100 nurses and therapists on staff. Their nurses and other ancillary staff provided high quality in-home care for patients after leaving the hospital.

After the loss of their first spouses to cancer nearly 40 years ago, Craig and his wife have continued to provide generous philanthropic support to City of Hope, and Susan G. Komen foundation. In retirement, Craig has chosen to utilize the valuable training and expertise, in parallel with a newly found entrepreneurial spirit and become a major investor-shareholder in various bio-technology companies. Advocating for the important work that is currently being pursued by such organizations. A list of Craig’s more prominent holdings include: ABT/ABBV, Amgen, Merck, Pfizer, Lilly, Edwards Life Sciences, GE Healthcare, TesoRx, Lipac Onclogy, as well as other startups, and smaller NASDAQ companies.

Mr. Plassmeyer received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics, as well as his MBA with emphasis in Finance from University of Illinois, Urbana-champaign, and is a CPA.
